Reconstruction(1865-1877)
Lincoln and Johnson wanted to get the south back to normal as quickly as possible and free all slaves. While Klose wanted to give less right to the slaves. Congressional elections removed all former Confederates from former power giving all the power to the Radical Republicans. Many northerners moved south, and the railroad systems were starting to run again.
